The Behavior Technician is a paraprofessional that provides behavior support services to children and teens with autism. The technician follows a behavior plan while working directly with a client, and receives ongoing guidance and support from their clinical supervisor. In this way, the technician helps the client develop every-day communication, social, and living skills.

Responsibilities

The Behavior Technician provides direct services to a child or teen consistent with the client’s behavior plan, collects behavioral data as required by their clinical supervisor, prepares session notes, and maintains timely communication with caregivers and clinical supervisors. The technician also collaborates with other members of the client’s treatment team to assist in identifying and meeting client goals.
